About Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a very pleasing natural
state of deep
relaxation. Most of us
drift in and out of hypnotic states everyday and because it happens so
often we do not notice it .
At these times we can be
very focussed and mentally alert while also physically relaxed. This is
the best time for us to learn which is what we do in hypnotherapy. Our
mind and body learn new ways of doing things.
Guided by a skilled and professional hypnotherapist you can relax in a
way that will help you make the
changes you want much more easily. Each of us has exactly what we need
within us to change.
Most of our thinking is done unconciously. We walk without thinking how
we walk. We drive without thinking how we drive and
sometimes we behave in ways we do not like.
We are responding to our 'unconcious guiding system' and we can change
our guiding system much more easily in hypnosis to give us more
of what we really want in life.
If you have heard the terms 'Guided Imagery' or 'Visualisation'
these
are sometimes used to describe the techniques we use in Hypnotherapy
and tap into the wonderful resources we all have in our brain,
our very own super computer.
People
often say hypnosis feels very pleasant and very physically
relaxing.
