This is a common concern and an understandable one due to some portrayals in the entertainment industry. It is also a totally unecessary one.

Hypnotherapy is not to be confused in anyway with Stage Hypnosis.

You are in control and will remain so throughout the session.

The therapist will work with you to help you make the changes you desire and your unconcious mind will only accept suggestions that are beneficial to you.

If anything is suggested that you do not wish to accept, you will immediately reject it and come out of hypnosis.
